The effect of Strategic Alliance on Organizational Performance (The case of Alliance between Navard Aluminum Arak & Aluminum Pars)
Strategic alliance is a cooperation contract between two or more organizations who want to improve their competitive situation and performance through resource sharing. One of the common types of strategic alliances is the alliance between two organizations working in the same industry. One of those industries which alliances occur most likely is the Casting Industry. In this regard, this research aims to investigate the effect of strategic alliances between two of these organizations. The statistical population of this study contains managers and experts of these two organizations which are about 130 people. Using Cochran’s formula and random sampling method, a number of people were chosen as the sample. After gathering 71 questionnaires, we analyzed the data and investigate the hypotheses using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) technique with the Smart PLS 2 software package in two sections. In the first section (measurement model), technical features of the questionnaire in terms of reliability, convergent validity and discriminant validity were investigated. In the second section (structural model), the z values of the model were used for investigating the hypotheses of study. The study’s findings confirm the significant effect of strategic alliance on financial and operational performance as well as organizational effectiveness in organizations who engaged in strategic alliances in this study.
